      I'd still recommend the string theory. Assuming, of course, you're able to get the pickups out.

      Does yours have the hard v neck profile or the more rounded? I've had 3 Jazz'Rs, and only one had the round profile, which was more comfy for me.

                  I know on a Gibson 335 or any jazz box guitar surgical tubing works pretty good for fishing the pots back in the guitar.Slip the tubing over the shaft of the pot and gingerly put it all back in there.Its a pain in the ass trust me, have a beer before you attempt it.
